ECD have dropped some bangers over recent years on American Independence Day, we had a handful of the awesome USA 2025 LTX 2.0 handles and in a blink of an eye they had gone. You snooze, you lose. With the inspiration coming from the A10 Warthog, The A-10 Thunderbolt II is best known for three things: iconic nose graphics, the GAU-8 30 mm rotary cannon in its nose, and its ability to destroy tanks.
In my option ECD's best product to release on the 4th July and what will surely become one of the major products to release this year was the Mirage 3.0 lacrosse head. Having said that, the saying "if it not broken don't fix it" hits true here as the Mirage 2.0 was and still is excellent.
ECD have taken what has to be there best selling head and have made a few tweaks that have without doubt made for a better version of an incredible lacrosse head. A 10% increase in the overall stiffness compared to the Mirage 2.0 but the same faceshape you know and love, although I do think that the new scoop looks a little more rounded.
Another feature I spotted when placing the 3.0 and 2.0 alongside each other was the increased offset. The Mirage 3.0 is a head that was built for power, accuracy, and big-time plays on the field.
The new jewel is a nice touch in terms of overall aesthetics, we'll no longer see they sticker type jewel on an ECD head.
As mentioned in the YouTube review, I had no intentions of getting a new head as I barely play these days being old broken and coaching my clubs men's first team leaves few opportunities to strap on my gear. But...as someone who has a graphene Mirage 2.0 that I've been more that happy with, it's become impossible not to want to pick up the new version on this occasion.
