Designed With the Athlete in Mind 

The SISU Max Mouthguard is specially made to offer maximum teeth protection for athletes who play high-impact sports. Made from cutting-edge, thermoplastic material, this guard is 50 percent stronger and eight times more durable than your average gum shield, making this the mouthguard of choice for athletes today. 

Lightweight Design

With a thickness of only 2.4mm wide, the SISU Max Mouthguard is around thirty percent thinner than any other. This slim, lightweight design enables you to communicate, breathe and drink with total comfort, making this guard the perfect addition to any sportsperson's game. 

Perforated Structure 

The SISU Max guard has been crafted using suspension bridge technology that uses perforations to redirect impact away from your teeth, into special crumple zones. This gives you optimum protection against teeth damage while you play. 

Can I Wear This Guard With Braces?

The SISU Next Generation Max Mouthguard is designed to protect all teeth and mouth types and so can be used by athletes with braces. 

What Size Should I Choose?

This mouthguard is supplied in one universal size that should fit the mouths of most adults and children above the age of 11. The guard is specially designed to mould to your unique mouth shape, so you can get that custom-fit you need. 

How Do I Fit the Mouthguard? 

To fit the mouthguard, you must have the following: 

1. Bowl
2. Hot, but not boiling water (71 degrees Celsius) 
3. Fork or similar utensil
4. Mirror 

For a step-by-step guide on how to mould the mouthguard, please follow below: 

Step One: 

Wash your hands and the mouthguard using soap and water. 

Step Two: 

Fill the bowl with water and heat to temperature (71 degrees Celsius). 

Step Three: 

Place your mouthguard into the water and leave until the guard is soft. (You can use your fork to determine this).

Step Four: 

Once the mouthguard is soft, remove it from the water using your fork, making sure that the mouthguard does not fold in on itself. 

Step Five: 

Tilt your head back and open your mouth widely. Balancing the mouthguard on your thumbs, insert the guard into your mouth and bite down gently onto the solid bar in the middle of the gum shield. (You can use your mirror to guide you). 

Step Six: 

Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and, starting with the back of your mouth, push the guard against your teeth with your fingers to mould it into place. 

Step Seven: 

Once the guard has completely moulded, close your mouth over the guard and suck in air through your lips. Do this until the mouthguard has hardened to ensure a snug fit. 

When fitting the SISU Max guard with braces, you must cover the brackets with aluminium foil or wax. This will create a barrier between your teeth and the mouthguard as without, it may be hard to remove it once the guard has hardened.
