Cascade XRS Pro

Cascade XRS Pro

Jason Perrin |

It will have not gone unnoticed that Cascade are releasing a new helmet in to the lacrosse world. As always Northern Soul is the first UK lacrosse store to get hold of one to give you the ins and outs of this new product.

So what features does the XRS Pro have that is an upgrade from the XRS model?

Here's the product info provided by Cascade.

QUICK KLIP SYSTEM

THE FUTURE OF FASTENERS

Our self-fastening, revolutionary QuikKlip integration offers the speed and convenience players love with a secure fit and magnetized lock they can trust. *Optional Upgrade

PRO PROTECTION

NEXT LEVEL ELITE PROTECTION

Extended rear panel creates a lower grab point for a more comfortable fit while providing a larger area of protection.

PRO COMFORT

STAY DRY WHEN THINGS HEAT UP

We've dialed in our sweat management with a dry and light moisture-wicking fabric-over-foam system to keep players comfortable when things get heated.

360 PROFIT

360 FIT, Now with an all new liner, the all encompassing fit system focuses on comfortably wrapping around your head instead of sitting on top.

PRO VISION

TOP TO BOTTOM SIGHTLINES

How you see the game will never be the same. Experience improved focal range with extended ground views with the inclusion of a second, power-pressed Visionbar.

Although on first appearance the changes on the XRS PRO might be small they have really turned a great lacrosse helmet into a truly outstanding product. We had a discussion in the store about how the new model does not feature a new shell and came to conclusion that Cascade just enhanced a near perfect design, the improvements are mostly on the inside of the shell leading to a better fitting helmet which offers greater protection.

The one sticking point with this helmet has to be the price point. It's not cheap and nor should it be. If your playing a full contact sport do you want to wear an ill fitting helmet that's a decade old?
